I am a professional fine artist focusing on sociological studies and feminist theory. My work is narrative and expressive, with an emphasis on human emotion and fine detail. 

Brittany Noriega

I am a professional fine artist in the Kansas City region. My artwork is narrative and detailed, often focusing on healing and overcoming trauma.

I studied studio art and sociology in the Black Hills of South Dakota and I am currently studying health science and the ways in which the arts affect our body and mind. I have been a self employed artist for over ten years and I have shown work regionally and nationally. I have work in private and public collections throughout the United States and have select works published both nationally and internationally.

Solo Exhibition at JCAHC
(October 2020 – January 2021) Postponed due to COVID
New Growth – Solo Exhibition at Johnson County Arts & Heritage Center in Overland Park, KS. This exhibition focuses on growth and rehabilitation after the trauma of domestic abuse, through both personal experience and interviews with other survivors. It will explore a range of topics including the definition of beauty, the ideation of grandeur, the infliction of emotional distress, and direct effects of a patriarchal society.

Golden Dagger Tattoo Parlor specialized in bold, traditional, and colorful tattoo work. Artists were encouraged to develop artist practice beyond typical tattoo procedure and to develop relationships with the community through the showing of artwork and partnerships with surrounding businesses.

Apprentice/Tattooer at Lakota Ink
(2007 – 2010)
The role of an apprentice in the field of tattooing is to study the specialized techniques that are involved under the guidance of a professional or team of professional tattooers. It involved the study of workplace procedures, safety and health guidelines, the development of artistic practice, and specialized training and certification.
